Meio Naval: V32 – “Julio de Noronha”
História
A Corveta Júlio de Noronha – V 32 é o segundo navio a ostentar esse nome na Marinha do Brasil, em homenagem ao Almirante Júlio César de Noronha. A Júlio de Noronha é a terceira unidade de uma série de 4 corvetas da classe Inhaúma. Construída no estaleiro Verolme S.A., em Angra dos Reis-RJ, teve sua quilha batida em 8 de dezembro de 1986, em cerimônia presidida pelo então Ministro da Marinha AE Henrique Sabóia.
Foi lançada ao mar e batizada em 15 de dezembro de 1989, tendo como madrinha a Sra. Leonor de Barros Noronha. Depois de realizar as provas de mar, foi submetida à Mostra de Armamento e incorporada em 27 de outubro de 1992, em cerimônia realizada no estaleiro Verolme em Jacuacanga, Angra do Reis, presidida pelo Chefe do Estado-Maior da Armada.
